Witness two of the greats from the UK. The year is 2015 at the U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships. Karl Boyes, a 32-year-old champion from England is up against a 27-year-old Jayson Shaw from Scotland. Taking place in 2015, Boyes was the more experienced player while Shaw was quickly making a name for himself, and Boyes knew he had his hands full. Boyes, the 2010 World 8-Ball Champion was a selected player for the Mosconi Cup (MC) four times already while Shaw had not been selected yet.
Today, Boyes is now the co-captain of Europe’s MC team while Shaw has been a MC team member every year since 2016. Let’s enjoy the 2015 competition. Mark Wilson and Darren Appleton will call the action.
